Technical Overview
Five-G is a highly effective, modern, water-soluble granular (SG) insecticide belonging to the Avermectin chemical group. It is widely used in agriculture as a potent larvicide to control chewing and leaf-feeding pests across a variety of field, vegetable, and fruit crops. Usage & Safety: Application Rate: It is typically used at a highly economical, low dosage of about 80 to 100 grams per acre, usually mixed in 150 to 200 litres of water.Crop Compatibility: Suitable for a broad spectrum of crops including cotton, chilli, brinjal, okra, cabbage, pulses, grapes, and tea.Safety: While generally safe for crops and compatible with integrated pest management (IPM) programs due to its low toxicity to beneficial insects like ladybugs, it is highly toxic to aquatic life (e.g., fish and crustaceans) and should be used with buffer zones near water bodies.
